The Trusty Money Jar

One old tip to staying motivated about saving money is the money jar. It is exactly what it sounds like. You take and old jar or container of some kind and you fill it any chance you can with whatever spare change you have. It is better if the container is clear so that you can see the money you have saved. Seeing all the money that you have saved will give you a since of accomplishment and will push you to continue to save. If you are like me and like to spend money, this is something that you should definitely give a try. Also, if you want to be creative, don't be afraid to decorate your jar. You can make it look however you want it to. The better it looks, the more you look at it, and the more you are reminded to save!
