I love disco balls. They are shiny and beautiful, but they can also be expensive. I have the perfect solution for that. The DIY Disco Ball. It is simple and easy to make, plus cheap. Yet, the final product, looks the opposite. I hope you enjoy! Submit or comment your thoughts.

What you need:
> old CDs or DVDs (ones that are scratched, old, don't work, or you just don't like anymore)
> styrofoam ball
> glue
> fishing wire or string
> kitchen shears (for cutting)
Directions:
1) boil some hot water
2) dip your CD or DVD into the water (it makes it easier to cut them and reduces splintering) (don't let it touch the bottom of the pan and take it out before it starts to warp) (I would suggest you wear gloves while the CD or DVD is hot)
3) cut your CD or DVD into squares (it does not need to be all the same size, but it is better to try and keep them the same size)
4) take your styrofoam ball and stick a hole through it so you can run your fishing wire through the hole and knot it into a loop so that it can be hung
5) glue your CD or DVD pieces onto the ball (make sure all the pieces line up and that it covers the entire ball)
6) glue the area with the loop last and cover it with the irregular shaped pieces (to hide it better)
7) Finished and ENJOY!
