Motivation Has Never Been So Delicious!

Staying motivated has a lot to do with your state of mind. If you believe you can do it, than you can do it. If you stay positive, than you can do it. Most of the tips that Motivation Nation has been giving you to stay motivated are all about mind power. Mind power is awesome! Yet, so is food! If you are having trouble staying motivated with the tips we have given you, here is something that you might like more. Food! Food is an awesome motivator. There are many different ways to use food as a motivator.

1) Make it a REWARD!
Whenever you accomplish your goal, try using food as a reward. You can buy yourself you favorite, but super fattening dessert. It can be anything as long as it makes you feel awesome and is something that you know you will work for. For example, my favorite thing in the world is a cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. To those of you who have been, you know how expensive the cheesecakes from there are. I never get to go there much and that makes it the perfect motivator. Going to the cheesecake factory is something that I know I would work for.
2) Reward yourself more than once!
This tip is perfect if your final goal requires you to do different things before you can actually complete your goal. For instance, let's say that you are writing a research paper. You could reward yourself with something after you have chosen a topic. One after you completed your research. You could reward yourself after you wrote your first draft. Another reward could be after you made correction. And, in the end, your final reward can be after you turned it in. For this tip to truly work, you have to make sure to save the best for last! If you do not, you will have nothing to forward to and to keep you motivated.
3) Make food your new STUDY BUDDY!
Food is a great way to help you study. For instance, if you had to read your super boring textbook, you can put little pieces of candy on different parts of the page. You can only it those pieces of candy if you have read to that part of the page. You can also use food as a way to stop you from getting distracted. Whenever I study or do my homework, I always tend to get distracted. It could be the TV, the music, my phone, or my family. Yet, when I snack while I work, it helps give me something to do that is not too distracting, but stops from getting bored.
